Hands on Atlanta - 20th Year Birthday Bash Celebration and Fundraiser

Hands on Atlanta is a Not for Profit Organization that has been giving back to the Community for the past 20 years. This was a Celebration with a Cake Bake-off and Fundraiser. The Defoor Centre was a perfect setting with soft lighting and paintings that provided a nice backdrop for colors. The Colors, Hands, and Cake caught my eye as soon as I walked in the door.

These people give with their time, money and Hands!

Atlanta, GA

I've lived in Atlanta for 4 years. Been trying to find a good location to shoot the city . . . then it came together.

Take it up a notch and shoot from the air. Light was falling quickly. Fortunately I shot in RAW format and was able to capture the images you see here.

Shanghai, China

A 14 hour flight from Chicago will land you in Shanghai, China. About 4% speak English and the number is growing with the younger generation. Construction is everywhere with cranes getting ready for the Expo in 2010.

My brief visit lasted a week. The first 3 days were rainy so not much luck. I captured this shot after dinner.

The Shanghai World Financial Center was the tallest building in the world at one time. I left my tripod in the car so picked one up in the Underground Shopping Center.

With 20 Million people, it is quite nice to see a quite time like this. Fortunately there was a nice sunset the last day.

This 300 year home is a place to visit. Even the Chinese like to take some time to walk around to see this garden.

There is something special about the Tea in China. After traveling 6-8 hours each day in the car to different cities, I was ready for some tea.

Francine Reed & Java Monkey - Blues Performance

If you enjoy Blues, you will not want to miss Francine Reed. The Thunderbird School of Global Management featured Francine, sister Margo and brother Michael in Mableton, GA for a rare performance at the at the Mable House Ampitheater.

This was a lifetime opportunity. I have always dreamed of shooting a concert performance. Something about the Colors, Energy, and Performance that gives me a natural high. Enjoy!

Trip to Europe

I'm just getting back from a trip to Europe. During this trip, I visited Florence, Innsbruck, Rheine and Madrid. There is something about catching the City at night in a Panoramic View.

Here's one of a village in Chianti, Italy.

I arrived late in Rheine Germany. The sun was setting and the light was fantastic. My new German friend was amazed that I knew the shots would be spectacular and that I was posting some pictures of his home town.
